Graduate School orientation is designed to welcome you to Michigan Tech, inform you of important policies and procedures, and provide valuable Responsible Conduct of Research training.  It is required that you obtain the training, and orientation is the fun way to complete it!

Check-in

• 9:30-a.m.-10:00 a.m. | Arrive to receive your welcome packet and table assignment for our program.

Welcome to Graduate School

• 10:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m. | Meet the Dean, Graduate Student Government, Career Services, Public Safety, and more.

Lunch

• 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. | Enjoy lunch with new graduate students and speakers from our welcome event. Vegetarian and gluten free options will be available. If you have any additional food allergies or restrictions, please let us know in the comments.

Orientation to Graduate Studies and Research

• 1:00 p.m.-4:30 p.m. | You will be introduced to the expectations for graduate students and the basics of responsible conduct for research.

Our program is limited by the space available in the Ballroom, and by registering we will reserve a seat for you.  If you're not able to make it, please remember to cancel your registration at the link provided in your confirmation e-mail.  If you are on the waiting list for the event, plan to arrive at 9:30am on the day of the event and we will seat you in the order you arrive as space permits.
