Event Description

Please join us for our next IDEA hub/CTL Online Education Session on Wednesday, October 7 from 3:00 - 4:00pm! In this session we will start by providing a brief overview of IDEAhub: what we've accomplished so far, where we're heading next, and how you can get involved as we reimagine the Michigan Tech educational experience. Then, the IDEA hub prototype team on Reflection -- Maria Bergstrom, Dayna Browning, Laura Fiss and Jenn Sams -- will report on their prototype to support reflection across campus. The Husky PAW model (Present, Analyze, What's Next?) is designed as a quick reference point that can be used in many ways in classes and other interactions with students. We hope this model will help make it easier for faculty and staff to implement reflection across campus and help students build a coherent reflective practice to connect their curricular and co-/extra-curricular experiences. Participants will have the opportunity to practice reflection and brainstorm ways to use it in their own work with students.

Once you have registered, you will be added to the calendar invite which will include the Zoom link. If you have questions or do not get the calendar invite, please email margaret@mtu.edu. Recordings of past IDEA hub/CTL Online Education Sessions, Teaching Q&A sessions, and associated materials are available in this Google drive folder http://bit.ly/IDEAhub-Sessions; we’ll continue to add new session recordings and materials going forward.
