How to be an effective Graduate Teaching Assistant/Instructor Webinar

Date: Jan 27th, 2022

Time: 4:00 - 5:00 pm EST

Location: Zoom

Host: Michael Meyer

Do you ever find yourself wondering how to be an effective Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA) or Graduate Teaching Instructor (GTI)? The Professional Development Committee at GSG will be hosting Michael Meyer as a speaker for our “How to be an effective GTA/GTI” seminar.

Mike's seminar will address the 7 dimensions of teaching: Enthusiasm, Clear communication, Engagement in class, Engagement out of class, Timely feedback, Personal Interest, and Use of Technology. Registered attendees are asked to do some "pre-work":  review these 7 dimensions and come to the session with at least one action they have taken (or seen an instructor take) that would show each dimension.
